Heartbeat

After a period of not being able to put together the band I wanted, I finally came to the conclusion that it was too much like hard work and joined Heartbeat. We played songs from the 60's through to the 90's and over the next three years we would become one of the best club bands on the local circuit and be interviewed and featured on a local cable TV channel. For me this was great, as our core audience was of an age that had grown up in an era where the drummer was the band leader, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, etc. So this long haired, brash stick twirler, who was playing 60's songs like a rock drummer, was actually seen as a breath of fresh air and gained an amount of popularity! Plus I was actually earning money from something I really enjoyed doing. Things came to a head with certain band members towards the end of 1998 and we made some line up and direction changes. We also decided to change the name to Cover 2 Cover.
